Hello everyone! Can you believe it’s July already? I could swear it was December last week! Anyway, July is one of my favourite months, and for that I decided to make a very classic dessert from the French cuisine: Baba au Rhum! (Rhum cake).
Hello lovelies! Today I am sharing a very special recipe: traditional french Dark Chocolate Tart.
This tart is everyone’s favourite at home. It is very heart warming and brings instant happiness. This recipe is traditional with simple ingredients, yet it has a very fancy and sophisticated taste!
First of all, TGIF!!!
Second of all, I’m spending the day alone at home with nothing much to eat and zero intention to get dressed for anything or to order food (still working on that triple chin from Christmas)
And so for that, I decided to make my favourite comfort food, a good old Fettuccine!
It’s a simple recipe that takes around 15 minutes to cook and 2 minutes to devour. There goes nothing:
If there’s one thing the whole world could agree on, it’s that Hot Chocolate is simply D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! It takes you back to that warm and happy place where you’re wearing fuzzy socks while watching Saturday morning cartoons. It’s basically a passport to Winter Wonderland!
Let’s start with some general facts. Continue reading “Hot Chocolate – Hot Cocoa: Info and Recipes”
Rue Sursock is one of my favourite areas around Ashrafiye. It is a calm street in the middle of a busy Beirut, hiding a lot of history and a little gem called éCafé! I had the pleasure to attend a gathering organized by the serVme team, the “Sunset Canapé”, and savour many little creations.
Here’s the menu and some of the items we tasted:
Olac is a restaurant located in Zaarour with a view over a big lake. They serve French and Italian fine cuisine. The interior is very cosy, similar to a hunter’s mountain cabana with a fireplace, wooden décor, leather couches and earthy colours everywhere.
The Beirut Cellar has captured my heart when I first went there for dinner. You can find the review in this post.
I decided to go back for a quick lunch meeting.
Grilled Chicken: with lemon. The chicken is perfectly grilled, tender and does not dry out even at the end as it gets colder. The lemon dressing goes great with it. The portion is more than big.
Fettuccine Salmon: This is Beirut Cellar’s home-made pasta. A very generous portion with an amazing taste. Perfect amount of sauce Blanche, leaves you satiated and is kind on the stomach. Bravo!
This place has definitely become on the top of my list!
